Residents in Sierra Ranch have a homeowners’ association that provides some recreational amenities. There are three parks that include basketball and tennis courts, play-structures and picnic areas. Community barbecues also are available. Parks provide ample space for playing kickball or soccer or just a simple game of catch. There's also a Sierra Ranch community pool.
 

What Not To Expect

 
A thriving nightlife or cultural scene. Residents have to drive several miles for those types of experiences.
Sierra Ranch is located just south of U.S. Highway 60 between Ellsworth and Crismon roads. The community is about one mile from the Loop 202-U.S. Highway 60 interchange, approximately 45 minutes from downtown Phoenix and a little more than 30 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. It is also conveniently located not far from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport which is about 20 minutes south.

Sierra Ranch's location makes it close to some of the East Valley's most popular outdoor activities and destinations. For example, Schnepf Farms, one of the Valley's most desirable hangouts for adults and kids alike in the fall and winter, is just a short drive south in Queen Creek. In the winter, you can easily head east just 15 minutes for the annual Renaissance Festival and enjoy a day as a knight or fair maiden. Or, for an experience a bit more natural, drive east 30 minutes farther and take in the beauty of the Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Superior, Arizona.

Major shopping centers such as Superstition Springs Center, as well as new retail centers, movie theaters, grocery stores and more are just a few minutes away from Sierra Ranch. The Loop 202 conveniently takes residents to the thriving restaurant scenes in downtown Gilbert and Chandler, as well as the popular San Tan Marketplace. Additionally, the Mountain Vista Medical Center is located just across U.S. Highway 60 from the community.
