The Waste Management Open A OneofaKind Golf Event!

Golf fans are easily some of the most passionate sports fans out there. Nearly 9.5 million people stop by the PGA tour website every single month, and that number is only growing. Golf fans often plan entire vacations around the PGA tour, and that sometimes includes the Waste Management Phoenix Open. This year, the event will be held January 29 - February 4 at the TPC Scottsdale. Dubbed "The Greatest Show on Grass," with over 655,000 people attending the event last year.

The Coliseum

Perhaps a big part of the popularity of this event is the 16th hole. A par-3, it is one of the shortest holes on tour, coming in at just 162 yards. It is completely enclosed by a 16,000 seat grandstand constructed just for the event each year. This hole has been described as "one big party," as poor shots often receive boos and jeers while good shots are always cheered loudly. It's unlike any other hole in a PGA Tour event. It's been the site of a Tiger Woods' hole-in-one which sent the crowd into a frenzy. And now the hole has a logo all of its own!

More than Golf

One reason the Waste Management Open receives such rave reviews from the fans is the life that surrounds the tournament. The Birds Nest is one very big party held in Scottsdale in conjunction with the tournament, and each year, some of the biggest names in music head for the event. This year, Florida Georgia Line will be headlining it, with Chris Lane opening. Last year, all four nights of the Birds Nest concert series were completely sold out.

Big things are expected from this year's Waste Management Open. Get your tickets for the tournament for the Birds Nest early, as attendance is expected to be as high as ever!
