Welcome to Sun City Grand

The 4,000-acre community held its grand opening celebration in the fall of 1996; the final home was built about 10 years later.

Sun City Grand boasts an impressive 63 neighborhoods in a variety of sizes and home styles. As an active-adult community, Sun City Grand has parameters in place regarding the ages of its residents. Eighty-five percent of the 17,000 residents are 55 or older, 15 percent are between the ages of 45 and 54 and no one under the age of 19 is allowed to live within the community. Unlike some other senior communities that feature low-key activities, the residents of Sun City Grand are proud to live up to their “active” name.

The 17,000 residents who are proud to call Sun City Grand home take an active role in their community. The non-gated community has a welcoming feel that emphasizes an active lifestyle; residents are often seen out walking their dogs around the lovely neighborhoods, heading to the links in a golf cart, or walking/biking to and from one of the many pristine pools.

 

 

 

 

What To Expect

 

So many amenities, residents may never want to leave.

Sun City Grand has an incredible number of amenities that truly offer something for everyone. For example, those who enjoy golfing will find four championship golf courses inside the community, while two well-equipped fitness centers offer ample opportunities to work out. Tennis courts are often filled with residents, plus Sun City Grand also features five community pools, a softball field, numerous clubs and two restaurants.

What Not To Expect

Many residents under the age of 45; this is an active-adult community.

Sun City Grand is comprised of 9,550 one-story homes in a Southwest style. Each residence was designed not only to look attractive and welcoming, but to be as easy to maintain as possible. The 60-plus neighborhoods vary in size from 50 to more than 300 homes and range from a villa at 1,096 square-feet to an entertainer’s estate at a roomy 3,388 square feet.

Sun City Grand’s residents are not likely to spend their golden years inside twiddling their thumbs. The community has so many activities going on every day, it can be hard to take advantage of everything. A very small sampling of activities includes softball, bocce ball, water volleyball, golf, a plethora of social/recreational clubs or just a brisk walk around the community’s friendly neighborhoods.
