The Neighbors

The perfect landing place for seasonal visitors and residents looking for a more desert lifestyle.

Troon Village

While a good portion of the houses here are second homes belonging to seasonal visitors — many of whom spend about half the year in the Midwest or Canada — Troon Village is also home to a good number of full time residents. All residents of all ages appreciate the abundance of retail shops and recreational opportunities close-at-hand, not to mention the plethora of meal-time options ranging from fine-dining restaurants to casual and fast-food eateries.

What To Expect

A community of some 1,300 luxury homes ranging from lock-and-leave townhomes to multi-million-dollar estates.

Troon Village

Some of the neighborhoods are gated — like Windy Walk Estates, Ballantrae Ridge and Troon Mountain — and some are not. Like other communities in this part of the Northeast Valley, Troon Village sits a bit higher than Phoenix at an elevation of about 2,400 to 2,800 feet, affording residents ever-so-slightly cooler temperatures along with sweeping views of the Valley, the nearby McDowell Mountains, the ancient spires of Pinnacle Peak plus a nighttime sea of glittering city lights.

The Lifestyle

Golf and other outdoor recreational opportunities play an important role.

Troon Village

As one might suspect, golf is pretty important around these parts. The member-owned Troon Golf and Country Club is proud to be the first golf course designed by Tom Weiskopf — who snagged the 1973 Open Championship at Royal Troon, the development’s Scottish namesake and inspiration — Jay Morrish. What’s more, the course is a certified Audubon Sanctuary, a designation given to sites recognized for outstanding environmental quality. Troon Village residents have the option to become members of the Club which also has tennis courts, a heated pool, a fitness center and several eateries.
